Rough Cut
To the right are the band members that will be used for our rough cut. Once we have finished the rough cut we will see whether they suit their selected roles well, deciding whether we should rethink the members. However we have selected each one of these people for the role as both James' play the guitar, therefore adding a realistic and authentic feel to the video as they will be playing the actual song. Additionally we picked all four members specifically as they all looked older, adding to the realism of the video as they fit the genre much better in being more mature.
Final Cut
​Once we had completed the rough cut and discussed as a group we came to a decision to change some of the band members. We kept Matt as we felt that he was brilliant in the realism of the performance and he really captured the voice of Dan Reynolds very well which added hugely to the video. We also kept James as once again due to his ability to play the guitar allowed him to really portray the real thing, adding to the authenticity of it as a whole. However we changed Jake and Joe due to the fact that Joe was unavailable as he was away. Furthermore Jake was cast off because he felt that he didn't produce a performance which really gave accurate representation towards the alternative rock genre. However to replace Joe on guitar we have used Andrew, his older appearance links very well to the impression and realism in which we are trying to create. Jakes replacement on drums is Ryan, this is because he looks more mature, and by taking Jake off the band it will allow us to have more aid on set, allowing for more focus on producing a better quality video.
