Analysis of Digipak
For my research I've focused on the albums by Imagine Dragons as their song is what we intend to recreate for our music video, therefore I shall maintain the house style which makes the album associated to Imagine Dragons such as the techniques and colouring.

The colours of both albums are dark and gloomy, reflecting the genre of music. The lack of colours allows the audience to focus on the subject in the photo such as the boy in Night Visions and the hands in Smoke + Mirrors. Despite, the albums being very simplistic, there are subtle patterns within both albums such as the clouds and the 3D effect of the pillars in the album, Night Visions and the circles surrounding the yellow light of the bird in Smoke + Mirrors.

Furthermore, on the front covers of the albums, Imagine Dragons have gone against the convention of displaying the band members on the cover, therefore I need to maintain this tradition on my album cover. An alternative formality I'll maintain on my cover is the font that states "Imagine Dragons" which is iconic for the band, providing a continuity.

For the back of the album it states a list of all the songs on the album similarly to all albums sold. The design of the albums are the same colours as the front cover which is dark and gloomy (as previously stated) allowing the list of songs, which is the main focus, to stand out further due to the large contrast in the colour of the font and background. Furthermore, the font, the style is very simplistic allowing the audience to clearly read the song titles. A tradition I need to maintain from both albums is too provide the list of songs in a vertical order rather than horizontal like in alternative artist’s albums such as Two Door Cinema Club.
