Hip hop gives credit to plenty of clothing brands out there which bring together iconic pieces formed by them being in connection with hip hop, that being them mentioned in a song or being worn on the artists album cover. For example the Nike Air Force 1 and Timberlands are some of the few shoes that are looked up to being very iconic due to artists such as Nas, Eminem and The Notorious B.I.G. The same also occurs with clothes which can also be heard mention in songs, for example Raf Simons and Yohji Yamamoto are just a few of the brands in which A$AP Mob pay homage to in their songs.
Accessories associated to Hip-Hop
Within the hip hop culture the usual accessories in which you will see an artist with will involve things such as big chains, expensive watches and also gold grills. In addition to that it seems to be in this day and age that rappers are usually noted by fashion magazines not for their dress sense but due to how big or how much their accessories amount to.
Target Audience Fashion Style
The way in which my target audience of hip hop fans will dress will be very similar to the brands and pieces worn by their favourite artist’s/rappers. This is because my target audience look up to hip hop artists as their own style icons, therefore they will be dressed in the brands in which their favourite artists are seen wearing out in public.
